**Services Provided by The Psychiatry Group in Alignment with Department of Labor and Industries Guidelines:**

1. **Initial Psychiatric Diagnostic Assessments:**

- Comprehensive evaluations for injured workers and crime victims to diagnose mental health conditions resulting from workplace-related incidents.

2. **Follow-up Psychiatric Care and Medication Management:**

- Ongoing psychiatric care, medication management, and medication reviews tailored to the specific needs of injured workers and crime victims.

3. **Combined Medication Management and Psychotherapy:**

- Integrated treatment approach incorporating both medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions for a holistic approach to mental health care.

4. **Evaluations for Reopening of a Claim:**

- Specialized assessments to evaluate and provide professional opinions on the reopening of claims related to mental health conditions.

5. **Psychiatric Impairment Rating Exams:**

- Thorough examinations to assess and rate psychiatric impairments for accurate determination of disability levels.

6. **Second Opinion Consultations and Diagnostic Clarifications:**

- Consultations providing a second opinion on diagnoses and clarification of psychiatric assessments to ensure accurate and comprehensive understanding.

7. **Psychiatric Expert Opinions:**

- Expert opinions offered by our psychiatric team in legal or professional contexts, supporting the understanding and management of mental health aspects related to work injuries.

**Telemedicine Services:**

- With some exceptions, all services are provided via telemedicine for convenience and accessibility.

**Geographical Scope:**

- Patients must be present in one of the following states for further assessment and treatment:

- Washington

- California

- Arizona

- Colorado

- Idaho

**Referral to Outside Providers:**

- Any services not available within our group are referred to outside providers, ensuring comprehensive and specialized care for all aspects of the injured worker's needs.

**Administrative Support:**

- Completion of required paperwork for the Department of Labor and Industries, attorneys, vocational counselors, and other professionals involved in the care of the injured worker, facilitating a seamless and coordinated care process.

Penny Goudelock, PA-C

With extensive experience in occupational medicine across the Northwest, Ms. Goudelock offers comprehensive evaluations through both in-person and telemedicine consultations.

Beth Hewes, PA-C

Beth was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado and received her undergraduate degree in Integrative Physiology and Neuroscience from the University of Colorado. She attended the University of Colorado for graduate school as well, and received her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies with a focus in Global Health.

During her time at CU, Beth helped to start an NGO called Comunidades Unidas and spent several summers working alongside local healthcare workers in the Peruvian Amazon. This experience sparked Beth’s passion for medicine, and she has now been a practicing physician assistant for over 10 years.

Currently, Beth lives in a small town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains where she enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling and spending time with her family.

Beth is very happy to have joined the team at The Psychiatry Group and looks forward to getting to know you and work alongside you.

Asif R Malik, MD

Dr. Malik earned his medical degree in Pakistan and underwent psychiatric training at the University of North Dakota and Yale University. He further enhanced his expertise with a fellowship in psychopharmacology at Yale University, engaging in both research and clinical practice. In addition to his practice in the United States since 2007, Dr. Malik has served as a psychiatrist in Pakistan and New Zealand. This enables him to understand psychiatric illness in a cultural and social context.

He has authored articles, both peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed, and has a keen interest in electroconvulsive therapy, emergency psychiatry, and telemedicine.

Heather Sanudo, ARNP

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, she began her nursing education at Linfield College in 1997, earning her nursing degree. Demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and advancement in her field, Heather pursued a Master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Washington State University in 2006.

Recognizing the evolving healthcare landscape and the need for specialized care, Heather furthered her education by obtaining a post-master's degree to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2021. This expansion of her expertise allowed her to contribute to mental health care, addressing an area of critical need.

Heather's extensive experience spans 26 years in the nursing profession. For 17 years, she has been dedicated to serving her community in a correctional environment. Working in such a setting requires unique skills and a compassionate approach to healthcare.

Currently, Heather holds the position of a Professor of Nursing at St. Louis University. Transitioning into academia, she plays a crucial role in shaping the next generation of nurses, sharing her wealth of knowledge and practical experience with aspiring healthcare professionals.

Heather's career trajectory showcases a commitment to lifelong learning, adapting to the changing needs of healthcare, and contributing significantly to both direct patient care and the education of future healthcare professionals.

Todd Denny

*Position: Referral Coordinator*

Our Referral Coordinator, Mr. Denny, is the point of contact for referring healthcare professionals and stakeholders. Mr. Denny ensures a smooth and efficient process for individuals seeking our services.

The clinical support team consists of Arianne, Jacky, and Marina. They devote their days to fulfilling the needs of our patients, handling scheduling and rescheduling requests, liaising with pharmacies to address administrative issues, and maintaining close communication with the Department of Labor and Industries to guarantee uninterrupted patient care.
