Occupational Injury 1024x608

The Psychiatry Group provides psychiatric treatment for eligible injured workers experiencing mental health conditions associated with workplace injuries. Treatment may include psychiatric follow-up, medication management, and ongoing assessment based on individual clinical needs. Care is coordinated according to applicable Washington workers’ compensation requirements and authorization procedures.

Psychiatric Treatment After an Occupational Injury

Treating psychiatric care

Recovery from an occupational injury often involves more than one kind of support. Our treatment services bring psychiatric care together into one plan built around your needs and your return to daily life and work. This includes care for work-related PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

If you are in crisis, call or text 988. In an emergency, call 911. Our office line is for appointments, not crisis support.

Treatment Options

  • Ongoing psychiatric care and medication management
  • Counseling
  • Behavioral health integration (BHI)
  • Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)
  • 120-day consultations
  • Second opinions and diagnostic clarification

Which options are right for you depends on your evaluation and your provider’s recommendations.

Care for Work-Related PTSD

Some injured workers develop symptoms of post-traumatic stress after a serious workplace injury or event, such as intrusive memories, avoidance, or being constantly on edge. Treatment is tailored to the person and may combine medication management with counseling.

How Care Is Coordinated

We collaborate with medical providers, rehabilitation specialists, and other professionals involved in your recovery, so everyone works from the same plan.

Who It Is For

Injured workers with L&I, self-insured, or third-party claims, and some self-pay patients.

Authorization

In most cases, authorization is required before treatment begins. Private-pay patients do not need authorization.

Telepsychiatry Across Washington

Treatment is provided by telepsychiatry, so you can receive care from home. Patients must be located in Washington at the time of the visit. Some services may be available in other states, so contact our office to confirm.
